The depression continues. Have not given into it entirely but somewhat. I did get up and clean house, or rather RV, rather than go out and get ice cream. So far. I have to admit that at this point my mantra becomes, who cares what I eat?
Just finished a book on Soul Talk. I think you just might like it. Need to change the tapes in our heads to positive talk. Made me think that is for sure. Have a great time with your kids!!! Talk to you soon. Love, Cay Ellen
*I* care what you eat. Because I want you to be healthy and strong and around for a long long time. Your friends want that. Curt wants that. Your kids want that. Your grandbabies want that. None of us cares how you look; we all want you, and the best way to assure having you is to have a healthy you. So it matters. But that's only because you are precious to so many people.
You asked who cares what you eat. I'm just answering that Q.
Welcome to my fellow travelers who have determined that they too will put one foot in front of the other for as long as it takes to reach the land of good health. Also welcome to those who stand on the sidelines and cheer us on. Sometimes we pathetically crawl an inch at a time down the road but you encouragers clap just as loudly. When we stop completely you give us gentle nudges or persuasive pushes to get us going again. Thanks. When you don't give up on us it gives us motivation to go on.
I'm a 54 year old Christian wife, mother and grandmother who has tried to lose weight for over forty years. But, here's the deal, two years ago I made a promise to myself that I wasn't going to quit trying. So, for these last two years I have gained and lost the same eight lbs. To some of you, that would seem like failure. To me, it's not a grand success but it is an improvement. For the last 20 years I have put on ten lbs a year. When you think of it that way, I am 20lbs to the good!
Major bummer.
ReplyDeleteIf I rat my hair up real high it sometimes helps lift me up!
You take good care of you - that is what is important, because you are worth it.
Love ya,
Billie Jo
